Perfecting Pest Elimination

(Integrated Pest Management Basic Plan)


Initial (Clean-out) Service

Complete Inspection inside and outside perimeters will include:

  • Identifying, evaluating and choosing the appropriate method of eliminating and preventing all pest
  • Taking note of any structural vulnerability; marking any places that may provide harborage or food source
  • Noting any sanitation problems and deciding which monitoring tools to implement

Our maintenance and sanitation report and plan of action for existing pest will:

  • Make you aware of certain sanitation procedures to assure the pest will look elsewhere for food and shelter
  • Note all possible points of entry such as window seals, door jams, baseboards, sinks and floor drains that require caulking, weather stripping, screening and/or repair
  • Review the present conditions of Kitchens, Lunchrooms, Restrooms, and Offices
  • Report such problems as food/grease build-ups, food being consumed and stored outside of designated areas, and any additional entry points such as holes in walls, floors, electrical conduits, and vents
  • Provide a detailed diagram of proposed rodent stations
  • List locations and applications of all baits and pesticides to be used for proper elimination
  • Prevent entry by making sure exterior windows and doors seal well when closed
  • Make sure each drain has covers and are in good repair
  • Make sure ceilings, walls, and floors are free of holes and missing broken tiles
  • Prevent pest from finding food, water or harborage on premises by making sure floors and food preparations are free of litter and food particles
  • Check exhaust systems, filters, and stove hoods for cleanliness
  • Make sure garbage containers are in good condition and are sealed and removed each day for disposal and/or cleaning; noting improper garbage disposal i.e., food placed in trash receptacles and dumpsters that are improperly maintained and/or overfilled
  • Make sure bottles and cans are properly rinsed before being stored
  • Make you aware of proper food and product storage practices (one foot away from wall and six inches off the floor)
  • Make sure pipes are free from leaking and/or condensation and broken installation

Install tamperproof rodent stations around outer perimeter & inner entry points

  • To secure rodent stations at all applicable exit and entry points (dock doors, dumpsters, boiler/furnace rooms) and outer perimeter of fenced in property; out of reach of children and non-targeted animals

Elimination and exclusion of existing pest by

  • Applying baits and if necessary pesticide in specific areas of infestation using a crack and crevice application; limiting the amount of toxicity while being mindful of public and environmental safety
  • Identifying areas that are in need of weather stripping and caulking (along baseboards, moldings, window seals, doors, sinks, and around pipes)
  • Screening necessary floor drains and sealing all holes

Set up monitors and identify contact persons for feedback via

  • Using small glue boards, and strategically placed report cards
  • Communicating with Maintenance supervisor, Office Manager, or designated contact person(s)

Summarize and submit an account of methods used with

  • A complete list of MSDS for all products used
